Potluck Temporarily Under The Weather

We wanted to let you know that Potluck will not be writing at length on the blog for a short period of time. He has severe arthritis and is having a very painful flare up in his wrist and in the finger joints of both hands. Since surviving a near fatal illness in 2008, his body has been unable to tolerate anti inflammatory or other pain killing medicines which would help him with his pain. He will be back as soon as he can with both articles and answers to comments and emails.

I am not a Social Security expert. My line of country is income taxes and I do believe that most people would rather avoid discussing them than not. Potluck reads each and every comment and we will go on putting them up until he can answer them. No matter what he will be back for the next COLA watch if not before.

In the meantime we both want to thank you for reading the blog and making comments. You ask some very astute question and keep us thinking constantly. You also make some very intelligent observations and put forth ideas that should shame the politicians we have to keep confronting in order to survive. You are bright, humorous and always very, very welcome.

Thank you for coming and please keep checking back. Potluck and I read the blog every day and if you have an emergency, I can always write his words.

Potluck and I want to thank all of you for the good wishes. He will be back soon and in the meantime we do check the blog frequently. We’ll keep checking, and make sure one way or another that you get all the salient news. I’ll type what Potluck gives me, if necessary. I am the blog slave., after all. 🙂

We are already doing our research for Potluck’s next COLA watch and it will be up timely. Jim, I hope you have a way to ease the troubles you have in your back. Pain is something you should not have to live with. Neither should anyone else. Good luck to all of you and thank you for your kindness.

I’m very sorry Potluck is not feeling well. I hope he has a quick recovery and can find some relief real soon. Its saddening when bad things happen to good people.

Take all the time yo need to recover, Potluck, and don’t rush. Taking care of yourself is the best thing you can do for us; it protects the source of his wonderful site.

My sincerest best wishes for recovery and relief, peace, joy, comfort and happiness too. I hope you feel better very soon. You’ve worked hard to give us this informative top-notch site, and deserve as much time as you need to recuperate in comfort and peace.

Many thanks, and get well soon. Thanks also to the original poster for being a good friend and getting his message through.; it is appreciated.

I just wanted to say that as I only found this site a few months ago, I have been following as much as I can to understand how this government works. I wanted to thank you for being a voice for all of us and keeping us informed. As a younger person who receives SSI, I was very interested in the politics involved. Especially when my grandparents passed away and I started questioning the medicare program. Thank you for all you do!
