From Another Blog – Frequently Asked Questions About Social Security During A Government Shutdown

There is a very good blog called Social Security News in which the blogger, Attorney Charles T. Hall puts up exactly that, news about Social Security. I personally check it nearly every day, and I recommend that you do to.

I want to refer you to a particularly good article Frequently Asked Questions About Social Security During A Government Shutdown. In this article, Mr. Hall answers 14 questions on this topic, which is still timely.

The entire government, including Social Security is on another brief Continuing Resolution, this one to expire on March 18th. In the remaining time, House Republicans, Senate Democrats, and Vice President Biden hope to come up with a version of the budget which will be acceptable to all sides. At this point, I do not think there will be a government shutdown, because I don’t think anyone really wants it, but the possibility is still there. Please check out Mr. Hall’s article — it is very informative.
